An evening with Singer Vehicle Design Monterey Car Week

Singer is perhaps the only restomod manufacturer that hasn’t screwed up the shape of the Porsche 911. What is interesting, it has re-interpreted it with a connoisseur’s eye for the best details that make the most loved wrong car in the world, even more unique.
What we can say is that they have created a new icon on an icon: at this year Quail-A Motorsports Gathering event during the Pebble Beach and Monterey Car week events, Singer presented 2 stunning bespoke pieces to the press and the crowd of enthusiasts.
The successfull Brand has announced that since 2009 they have restored and built 50 highly customized vehicles to their passionate customers and it’s projecting to build 80 more in the near future. Present both at the Quail and at the exclusive event which Escape on Wheels had the opportunity to attend, two new and exciting cars were introduced: a 1990 “Luxemburg” Targa and a 1994 “Minnesota” 911, powered by a 3.8 liter engine develloped by Cosworth.
Both cars were Intended to showcase the exquisite level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in which Singer Vehicle Design has evolved in his history: features like the unique leather “Tyler Tartan” on the targa and unique Gunmetal Grey esterior shade and interior Tobacco coloration.
Performance is no stranger word at Singer headquarters in L.A. and the signature “extra kick” in power output is guaranteed by a line of 3.6, 3.8 and 4.0 liter flat sixes, manufactured by renown Ed Pink Racing Technology to go in these unique Made-in-California Porsches.
During the exclusive event, held in a secret location and with entrance by invitation-only in the hills outside L.A. customers and selected enthusiasts have been able to enjoy first hand and more deeply the quality and the remarkable passion that goes into a Porsche re-imagined by Singer. We sure would love to experience even more of this amazing car, maybe on the open road, with the scream of the engine behind our backs.
